Daniela Brandão is a researcher of the AgeinC research group, Thematic Line 1 (TL1) – Preventive Medicine & Societal Challenges
She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Gerontology from the University of Aveiro. In 2019, she completed her Ph.D. in Clinical Research and Health Services at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP), with the thesis entitled “Use of care services in the context of geriatric morbidity: a study with octogenarians, nonagenarians, and centenarians”.
She began collaborating with the UNIFAI-ICBAS in 2009, and was part of the team of the Centro de Atendimento 50+. In CINTESIS, she has developed her research activity in several projects, namely the CQC – Cuidar de Quem Cuida project, in the area of informal care, and the PT100 – Centenários do Porto project, that studies the population in very old age.
