Train doctors remotely in times of pandemic? Yes, it is possible!

Researchers from CINTESIS – Center for Health Technology and Services Research and from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) have developed alternatives, using telesimulation.

The results of this work, developed by Carla Sá Couto and Abel Nicolau (CINTESIS / FMUP), have already been published in the scientific journal MedEdPublish.

The authors point out that telesimulation can be an effective alternative to train students and health professionals in emergency settings, such as hemorrhagic shock, anaphylactic shock, and intoxication, during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
