Elizabete Loureiro is an integrated member of the Tech4edusim research group, Thematic Line 3 – Health Data and Decision Sciences & Information Technologies, of CINTESIS.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Minho. In 2015, she completed her Doctorate in Biomedicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, where she currently develops her work within the Department of Public Health and Forensic Sciences and Medical Education. She is a researcher of a project in Clinical Communication funded by FCT, having been involved, since 2009, in the training of skills in this area among medical students. As a researcher, she has especially focussed on Medical Education and Clinical Communication.
She is currently responsible for the Student Support Office of FMUP and for the Practical Communication Course on Bad News. She is a Portugal’s representative at the EACH – International Association for Communication in Healthcare, a worldwide organization whose mission is to promote effective, patient-centred and evidence-based health communication.
