About EvidenS&HTA

EvidenS&HTA – Evidence-Based Decision Making, Research Synthesis and Health Technology Assessment is a research group of CINTESIS dedicated to the production and synthesis of quality scientific evidence. The group works with international networks, Portuguese health professionals, national authorities, political decision makers and other partners in order to guarantee that evidence is produced, understood and used accurately in any decision making at all levels, going from individual health care delivery to the definition of health policies.

Some of the main areas of activity are the development of patient-centred studies, systematic reviews and meta-analysis; the dissemination of the best evidence on relevant health and public health topics; the communication of such evidence and counselling of decision-makers, authorities and health professionals; and finally, the promotion of quality education and training in the fields of Evidence-based decision making and Health Technology Assessment.
