CINTESIS researcher Lia Araújo spoke with the Expresso newspaper about the importance of the relationship between grandparents and grandchildren, regarding the National Day of Grandparents, which was celebrated on July 26.
Portugal “gives great importance to family relationships and especially the relationship between grandparents and grandchildren. In Europe, it is even “one of the countries where grandparents have a more active and present role in the care of grandchildren,” explains the gerontologist and professor at the School of Education in Viseu.
