José Gerardo Gonçalves de Oliveira is an integrated researcher of the BioOncoSim of CINTESIS.
He is an Associate Professor with Agregação (tenure) at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, a Nephrologist and the Coordinator of the Office of Donation/Procurement and Transplantation at the Hospital Centre of São João. He is a member of the work group for the preparation of Hospital Standards on Organ Donations that will have to be adopted by all the hospitals with activity related to donations of organs and tissues.
Gerardo Oliveira is a member of the Portuguese Society of Nephrology, the Portuguese Society of Transplantation and Portuguese Society of Immunology. He is also a member of the European Society of Dialysis and Transplantation, the American Society of Nephrology, the International Society of Nephrology, and the International Society of Transplantation. He has authored numerous scientific articles in his fields of research and more than a hundred communications in international scientific events.
