Luís Filipe Ribeiro Azevedo is the Principal Investigator of the EvidenS&HTA research group of CINTESIS.
He graduated in Medicina from Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) in 2001. He then completed the postgraduate course in Probability and Statistics at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon and earned his Doctoral Degree from FMUP with the thesis “Dor crónica em Portugal – Prevalência, e impacto individual, social e económico” (Chronic pain in Portugal – Prevalence, and individual, social and economic impact).
Currently, he works as a Professor and researcher of CINTESIS at the Department of Community Medicine, Health Information and Decision (MEDCIDS) of FMUP. He teaches several undergraduate and postgraduate courses and is responsible for the Advance Course in Clinical Research and Health Services (CEAICSS).
Luís Azevedo is an evaluator of CATS – Comissão de Avaliação de Tecnologias da Saúde (Committee on Health Technology Assessment) and member of the Panel of Methodologists of ECRIN (European Clinical Research Infrastructure Network).
