LUSA // Researchers Warn of Shortfalls in Medical Records

Researchers from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) and CINTESIS – Center for Health Technology and Services Research warn of the “lack of data quality in health records”, advocating the adoption of several measures, including external audits.

In an interview with the agency Lusa, Vera Pires and Alberto Freitas (coordinator) consider that clinicians are little aware of the importance of records and warn that the lack of quality of clinical data can compromise health care delivery.
