Nuno Vale is the principal investigator of the research group PerMed, integrated into CINTESIS’ Thematic Line 2 – Clinical and Translational Research.
He has a degree and a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP). He specialized in Pharmaceutical and Peptide Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology and Drug Metabolism. He was a researcher of the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT).

He has coordinated research projects focused on various pathologies, including malaria, tuberculosis, the central nervous system, and cancer. He was editor of the book “Biomedical Chemistry: Current Trends and Developments”. In recent years, he has been a visiting assistant professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto (FFUP).
