How to explain a 180% increase in COVID-19 cases in the North of the country in just one month? The question was asked by the newspaper Observador. The chances are many. High population density, marked mobility between municipalities, the impossibility of teleworking due to the type of functions performed.

Carlos Martins, a researcher at do CINTESIS – Center for Health Technology and Services Research and professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, talks about some of the possible reasons for this increase in cases.
