Ovídio Costa is an integrated member of the research group Tech4edusim – Technologies for Education and Simulation in Health, of CINTESIS.
He has a Doctoral Degree in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP), where he works as an Associate Professor and is responsible for the Continuing Education courses on Clinical Geriatrics and Sports Medicine.
As a Cardiologist he works at the Lapa Hospital and is the Clinical Director of the Cardioteste Group. Throughout his professional life, he has occupied prominent positions, such as the Head of Internal Medicine at the Hospital of São João, Director of the Permanent Education Department at the Hospital of São João, Coordinator of the Research Centre at the Hospital of São João and Clinical Director of the Sports Medicine Center of Porto. He is a member of several national and international scientific societies like the Portuguese Society of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology.
