Abstract
MOBFOOD aims to respond to the growing demand for healthy, sustainable foods with superior organoleptic quality and food that have specific bioactive or functional properties to deliver improved health and consumer well-being. It also aims to develop new packaging that enables a better quality of food preservation and safety and the development of integrated solutions that involve the reduction of waste, efficient use of resources and the recovery of waste, by-products and effluents from the Food Industry. The MOBFOOD project promotes the integration of R&D results in the context of globalization by involving different social agents (e.g. companies providing technological services, entities of the national technological and scientific system, and end users of technological solutions who also act as agents of the business fabric).
