Project Description
ObsCare WCR-Worldwide Maternal and Child Care and Research
Abstract
Clinical records contain data about a patient, after he sought health care to: (1) record observations, (2) inform others, (3) instruct students, (4) acquire new clinical knowledge, (5) monitor performance, and (6) legally justifying interventions. The fulfillment of all these objectives creates pressure on the quality of the records and the examples that promote all these aspects are rare.
The project ObsCare WCR Worldwide Maternal and Child Care Patient Record and Research aims to demonstrate a version of the obstetric clinical record that integrates these new components:
- Primary health care – the aim is to explore communication between primary and hospital care, extend the follow-up period to the first months of life, promote the use of personal devices by pregnant women in the collection and management of data and communication with health professionals.
- International market – this line aims to demonstrate the multilingual version and “benchmarking” with international institutions and reference practices.
- Optimization of decision and management – this line aims to provide healthcare professionals with tools to support clinical decision, as well as instruments to facilitate the management of departmental resources.
- Alignment with the GDPR – the new European Data Protection Regulation is a major challenge. We aim to satisfy needs related to audit processes, promote the use of mobile devices as privileged channels of communication with patients, for the collection of informed consent, for new data treatments, including data sharing, synchronization, and portability.
- Modernization of the technology of the current version – recently there have been technologies that are capable of accelerating the production of software, creating dynamic and adjustable graphical interfaces for each client, and describing complex health concepts in a semantically complete way.
