Sónia Patrícia Vilar Martins is an integrated member of the GeriMHealth research group of CINTESIS, at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP).
She is a Psychologist with a Master Degree in Psychology – specialization in Psychological Evaluation – from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra. In 2014, she earned her Doctoral Degree in Gerontology from the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences of the University of Porto (ICBAS-UP).
She works as an external professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto and is a member of the European Delirium Association (EDA) and of the Portuguese Society of Geriatrics and Gerontology (SPGG). She has published several articles in her research areas. Currently, she integrates the Project Symbiotic technology for societal efficiency gains – Deus Ex Machina (DeM).
