From August 1 to 31, the 2nd phase of applications will be open for the Specialization Course in Health Technology Design, which will take place in the 2024/2025 school year, under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR).
This specialization, coordinated by Bruno Giesteira, brings together the Faculty of Medicine (FMUP), the Faculty of Fine Arts (FBAUP) and the Faculty of Engineering (FEUP) of the University of Porto, involving researchers from CINTESIS.
This postgraduate training course is aimed at students over the age of 23. It is aimed at professionals who work in clinical settings (such as doctors, nurses, and psychologists), as well as professionals in the field of new media (namely designers, artists, and computer engineers) who want to acquire skills in mHealth/eHealth and graduates in artistic, engineering or communication areas.
The objectives of this course are to train students in “Human-Centered Design applied to mHealth and eHealth” methodologies, factors associated with “user experience”, cybersecurity, “user research” methods in health, “serious games”, prototyping and evaluation of technologies, among other topics.
The Specialization in Health Technology Design is funded by the “Next Generation EU” program of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR), through the “U.Porto Multidisciplinary Training Program – Impulso Jovens STEAM & Impulso Adultos”.
