Tiago Taveira Gomes is an integrated researcher at CINTESIS, in the research group AI4Health – Artificial Intelligence for Healthcare of TL3 – Health Data and Decision Sciences & Information Technology.
He completed his medical degree in 2012 and his Ph.D. in the same area in 2016, both at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto. He then earned a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto in 2018. He is a specialist in General Medicine at the Hospital da Trindade (José de Mello Saúde), Visiting Assistant Professor at FMUP, and Visiting Professor at the Fernando Pessoa University and at CESPU.
He has vast experience in software development in Health. He is founder and CEO of the company Magalhães e Taveira-Gomes. He provides health IT consulting services to several national and international companies. His curriculum includes projects for the Ministry of Health and collaborations with the Central Administration of the Health System (ACSS) and the Regional Health Administration of the North (ARS-Norte). Currently, his focus is on the area of Artificial Intelligence in Health.
