O CINTESIS – Centro de Investigação em Tecnologias e Serviços de Saúde apoia a edição deste ano do European Forum on Prevention and Primary Care, que se realiza entre os dias 4 e 5 de novembro, na Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto (FMUP).
Subordinado ao tema “Evidence-Based Prevention – How to do it?”, o evento junta profissionais de saúde e investigadores na área da Medicina Geral e Familiar de vários países. Em discussão estão, por exemplo, o rastreio do cancro da mama e do cancro colorretal, o burnout, a prevenção cardiovascular, a prevenção quaternária, as guidelines, a literacia de saúde e as ferramentas para praticar medicina preventiva baseada na evidência.
Carlos Martins, investigador do CINTESIS e docente da FMUP, é anfitrião de mais esta edição, que tem como palestrantes Peter Gøtzche, Andree Rochfort, Katarzyna Nessler, Carlos Brotons, Mateja Bulc, Frederik Martiny, Ana Luísa Neves, Ahmeda Ali, Uwe Popert, Emmily Schaubroeck e Leo Pas. Do programa constam ainda várias sessões de apresentações orais e pósteres, além de workshops/sessões interativas.

CINTESIS – Center for Health Technology and Services Research supports this year’s edition of the European Forum on Prevention and Primary Care. The event will take place on November 4 and 5 at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP).
The main theme is “Evidence-Based Prevention – How to do it?”, and it will bring together health professionals and researchers in the field of general practice and family medicine from various countries. Some of the topics to be discussed are breast and colorectal cancer screening, burnout, cardiovascular prevention, quaternary prevention, guidelines, health literacy, and tools for practicing evidence-based preventive medicine.
