O CINTESIS está representado no Hack for Good @Home, uma maratona de desenvolvimento tecnológico (hackathon) exclusivamente online, com organização da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian.
O objetivo é que os participantes criem soluções inovadoras para fazer face a problemas ligados ao envelhecimento da população, dando resposta a desafios como a autonomia nas tarefas diárias, a mobilidade individual, a comunicação e relações pessoais, o conhecimento e capacidade cognitiva, os meios de transporte e o acesso a cuidados de saúde.
Oscar Ribeiro, investigador do CINTESIS/Universidade de Aveiro, faz parte do júri final que será responsável por selecionar as equipas vencedoras. Já Soraia Teles, também investigadora do CINTESIS, faz parte da rede de mentores. O seu papel será guiar os participantes no desenvolvimento da ideia.
A fase de inscrições decorre até 2 de novembro. Segue-se a fase da ideação, com o apoio dos mentores, entre 3 e 16 de novembro, e a ronda de pré-seleção, entre 17 e 23 de novembro. Após um prazo para aperfeiçoamento das soluções pelos finalistas, o júri irá fazer a sua avaliação. No dia 3 de dezembro, serão apresentados os “pitches” finais e anunciados os vencedores.

CINTESIS is represented at Hack for Good @Home, a technological development marathon ( hackathon ) exclusively online, organized by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
The objective is that the participants create innovative solutions to face problems related to the aging of the population, responding to challenges such as autonomy in daily tasks, individual mobility, communication and personal relationships, knowledge and cognitive ability, the means of transportation, and access to health care.
Oscar Ribeiro, a researcher at CINTESIS / University of Aveiro, is part of the final jury that will be responsible for selecting the winning teams. Soraia Teles, also a CINTESIS researcher, is part of the mentor network. Her role will be to guide participants in developing the idea.
The deadline for registration is November 2, 2020. Then, with the support of the mentors, begins the ideation stage, from November 3 to 16, and the pre-selection round, from November 17 to 23. After a period of time for the finalists to improve their solutions, the jury will make their assessment. On December 3, the final pitches will be presented and the winners will be announced.
