“O Olhar dos Investigadores” é o tema central da terceira Jornada Pandemia e Comunicação, que se realiza e no próximo dia 1 de junho, no Anfiteatro III da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra (UC).
Ao longo do dia, especialistas de vários Centros de Investigação e Universidades de todo o país vão juntar-se para debater o que mudou no Jornalismo e na Comunicação durante a pandemia de COVID-19.
A abertura é às 10h00, com a presença do diretor da Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra, Albano Figueiredo, do coordenador do Centro de Estudos Interdisciplinares da Universidade de Coimbra, José Oliveira Martins, e da investigadora do CEIS20/Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra, Clara Almeida Santos.
A primeira mesa, cujo início está marcado para as 10h30, é sobre “Jornalismo português em tempos de pandemia”. Isabel Ferin Cunha (ICNOVA/UC), Carlos Camponez e João Miranda (CEIS20/UC), Pedro Jerónimo (LabCom/UBI) e Gil Ferreira (ESEC) são os participantes de uma sessão moderada por Catarina Burnay, investigadora do CECC/Faculdade de Ciências Humanas da Universidade Católica Portuguesa.
Hugo Gilberto, jornalista da RTP, fará os comentários, numa intervenção sob o mote “O jornalismo sob a lente dos investigadores: espelho distorcido?”, com início marcado para as 12h30.
Às 14h30, começa a segunda mesa, sobre “Comunicação e Saúde em tempos de pandemia”, moderada por João Figueira, do CEIS20/UC, que conta com as intervenções de Gisela Gonçalves (LabCom/UBI), Marta Pinto (UP), Felisbela Lopes e Rita Araújo, investigadoras do CECS/Instituto de Ciências Sociais da Universidade do Minho.
Os comentários serão feitos por Vítor Cunha, administrador da João Líbano Monteiro & Associados, a partir das 15h30, numa intervenção com o título “Estratégias para comunicar a/em pandemia”.

As Jornadas Pandemia e Comunicação são uma iniciativa das investigadoras Olga Estrela Magalhães (CINTESIS/Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto), Felisbela Lopes e Rita Araújo (CECS/Universidade do Minho), Clara Almeida Santos e Ana Teresa Peixinho (CEIS20/Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Coimbra), Catarina Duff Burnay (CECC/Faculdade de Ciências Humanas da Universidade Católica Portuguesa).
A primeira Jornada realizou-se na Universidade do Minho, a 17 de novembro de 2021, tendo como tema “O Olhar dos Assessores”. A segunda Jornada, sobre “O Olhar dos Decisores”, teve lugar no passado dia 11 de março, na Faculdade de Ciências Humanas da Universidade Católica Portuguesa, em Lisboa. Está ainda prevista uma quarta Jornada, que será dedicada ao “Olhar dos Jornalistas” e deverá ter como palco a Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto (FMUP), em data a confirmar.

“The Researchers’ View” is the central theme of the third session of the Pandemic and Communication Conference, which will take place on June 1, at the Amphitheater III of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra (UC).
Throughout the day, specialists from various Research Centers and Universities from all over the country will come together to discuss what changed in Journalism and Communication during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The opening is at 10am, with the presence of the director of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra, Albano Figueiredo, the coordinator of the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Coimbra, José Oliveira Martins, and the researcher of CEIS20/Faculty of Arts of the University of Coimbra, Clara Almeida Santos.
The first round table, scheduled to begin at 10h30, is on “Portuguese journalism in times of pandemic“. Isabel Ferin Cunha (ICNOVA/UC), Carlos Camponez and João Miranda (CEIS20/UC), Pedro Jerónimo (LabCom/UBI) and Gil Ferreira (ESEC) are the participants of a session moderated by Catarina Burnay, researcher of the CECC/Faculty of Humanities of the Portuguese Catholic University.
Hugo Gilberto, a journalist from RTP, will make the comments, during an intervention under the motto “Journalism under the researchers’ lens: distorted mirror?”, starting at 12:30pm.
At 14:30, the second roundtable begins, on “Communication and Health in times of pandemic,” moderated by João Figueira, CEIS20/UC, which includes the interventions of Gisela Gonçalves (LabCom / UBI), Marta Pinto (UP), Felisbela Lopes and Rita Araújo, researchers at CECS / Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho.
The comments will be made by Vítor Cunha, director of João Líbano Monteiro & Associados, starting at 15h30, during an intervention entitled “Strategies for communicating the pandemic”.

The first Conference was held at the University of Minho, on November 17, 2021, with the theme “The Press Officers’ View”. The second Conference, on “The View of Decision-Makers”, took place on March 11th, at the Faculty of Human Sciences of the Portuguese Catholic University, in Lisbon. A fourth event is also planned, which will be dedicated to “The Journalists’ View” and will take place at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP), on a date to be confirmed.
