A Reunião Anual da Cochrane Portugal 2022 irá decorrer no dia 15 de dezembro, entre as 15h00 e as 18h00, na Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto (FMUP). A organização é do Centro Associado do Porto da Cochrane Portugal, dirigido por Luís Filipe Azevedo, professor da FMUP e investigador do CINTESIS@RISE.
Subordinada ao tema “Real World Data and Evidence-Based Decision Making: Present and Future, Promises and Challenges”, esta reunião irá contar com a participação de convidados internacionais de renome, nomeadamente Uwe Siebert, da Universidade de Harvard, Melanie Calvert, da UMIT TIROL (Áustria), Jesper Kjaer, Co-Chair na European Medicines Agency (EMA) e Kenneth Quinto, Senior Medical Advisor da Food and Drug Administration (FDA) (EUA).
Na abertura, estão também presentes o diretor da FMUP, Altamiro da Costa Pereira, e o diretor da Cochrane Portugal, António Vaz Carneiro.
Em discussão estarão o papel e a relevância dos dados e da evidência do mundo real no contexto da tomada de decisão e avaliação de tecnologias da saúde. Serão focadas diferentes perspetivas e dimensões, desde os pontos de vista académico, científico e metodológico, passando pelo papel dos métodos e instrumentos de medição de resultados clínicos centrados e reportados pelos doentes, até à perspetiva e posicionamento das agências reguladoras.
O evento será híbrido, ocorrendo de modo presencial, na Aula Magna da FMUP, e com transmissão online. A inscrição é gratuita, mas obrigatória. O programa pode ser consultado aqui.

The Cochrane Portugal 2022 Annual Meeting will take place on December 15, from 15:00 to 18:00, at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP). It is organized by the Cochrane Portugal Associated Centre of Porto, directed by Luís Filipe Azevedo, FMUP professor and CINTESIS@RISE researcher.
Under the theme “Real World Data and Evidence-Based Decision Making: Present and Future, Promises and Challenges”, this meeting will be attended by renowned international guests, namely Uwe Siebert, from Harvard University, Melanie Calvert, from UMIT TIROL (Austria), Jesper Kjaer, Co-Chair at the European Medicines Agency (EMA), and Kenneth Quinto, Senior Medical Advisor at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) (USA).
FMUP’s director, Altamiro da Costa Pereira, and the director of Cochrane Portugal, António Vaz Carneiro, will also be present at the opening.
Under discussion will be the role and relevance of data and real-world evidence in the context of decision making and health technology assessment. Different perspectives and dimensions will be focused, from the academic, scientific and methodological points of view, through the role of patient-centered and patient-reported clinical outcome measurement methods and tools, to the perspective and positioning of regulatory agencies.
The event will be a hybrid, occurring both in person, at the Aula Magna of the FMUP, and online. Registration is free, but mandatory. The program can be found here.
