HealthySystems (HLTSYS)CINTESIS – Center for Health Technology and Services Research and the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP) organize the Healthy Hospital Demo – Demonstration session of HS.Register and HS.Helios products, which will take place next March 6, from 9h to 17h30, in Room 3 of CIM – FMUP.

The session will also have the collaboration of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP), the Local Health Unit of Matosinhos (ULSM), the Hospital Center of Entre o Douro e Vouga, EPE (CHEDV), in Santa Maria da Feira, and the Tondela-Viseu Hospital Center, EPE (CHTV), in Viseu.

The program includes the demonstration of the interoperability platform HS.HELIOS version 2.0, which results from the project “HS.HELIOS”, developed by HealthySystems, in a co-promotion with CINTESIS and FMUP and funding from Portugal 2020.

It will be up to João Almeida, from HLTSYS, to demonstrate this new technology, which aims to promote systems interoperability and integration within hospitals, with the reinforcement of the security component, given the greater requirement arising from the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

“Hospitals have many different systems, software and machines, with the most varied purposes and in different specialties. We have to ensure that they communicate correctly, transmitting data relating to thousands of patients effectively and safely”, says Ricardo Cruz CorreiaCINTESIS researcher, professor at FMUP and project coordinator, in an interview.

Natércia Sousa and Henrique Ferreira, representatives of the  Hospital Center of Entre o Douro e Vouga, EPE (CHEDV) and the Centro Hospitalar de Tondela-Viseu, EPE (CHTV)), will be present to discuss the results, the two hospitals of the Portuguese National Health Service (SNS) involved in this project, in addition to José Teixeira (HL7 Chaper Portugal) and Pedro Pereira Rodrigues (CINTESIS / FMUP).

This event will also include a part dedicated to the demonstration of another technology developed by HealthySystems, the HS.Register. Luís Filipe Antunes (HLTSYS / FCUP) will moderate the discussion with Tiago Morais (ULSM) and Nuno Moura (Lousada City Council), while Manuel Eduardo Correia (HLTSYS / FCUP) will moderate the panel with Fernando Silva (Banco de Portugal) and Luís Filipe Antunes.
