About GeriMHealth

GeriMHeatlh – Geriatrics & Mental Health is a CINTESIS group that gathers together researchers from different fields, namely psychiatrists, rheumatologists, oncologists, internists, nurses, social workers, gerontologists and occupational therapists who work in universities, hospitals, national continuing care network and primary health care. These connections allow the implementation of translational research, and the participation in international research projects and in scientific networks.

The goal of the group is to develop clinical research and solutions aimed at the physical and mental problems associated with ageing. In this sense, it is recommended a multidisciplinary approach geared to the needs of the elderly, family/caregivers and formal caregivers in the improvement of geriatric care.
