Público // Pandemic Lost Steam and Forces Decision on New Risk Matrix

“We need to change this matrix and frame the disease in a post-pandemic phase. This is yet another disease that will keep us company in the near future,” says Paulo Santos, a researcher at CINTESIS – Center for Health Technology and Services Research and professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP).

In an interview with the newspaper Público, the researcher stated that “the observation matrix of this disease will necessarily have to go through another level that has to do with severity and not so much with the simple headcount, the case count.
