O Congresso Internacional de Investigação em Enfermagem (NURSID 22) irá realizar-se entre os dias 14 e 15 de julho, na Escola Superior de Enfermagem do Porto (ESEP), com organização e participação de investigadores do CINTESIS/ESEP.
O tema da edição deste ano é o “Futuro da Investigação em Enfermagem”. Para a organização, “é urgente (re)pensar o que se investiga e porque se investiga”, tendo em conta o envelhecimento da população e o aumento das doenças crónicas, mas também os novos “desafios impostos pela pandemia de COVID-19, pelas alterações climáticas e pela globalização”.
Neste sentido, o Congresso deverá constituir-se como “um espaço de partilha de conhecimentos, experiências e evidências resultantes da investigação, assim como promover a reflexão sobre desafios e novas oportunidades na forma como se concebe, planeia e desenvolve a investigação”.
“Investir na investigação em enfermagem pode ajudar a alcançar o desenvolvimento sustentável, esperando-se que este evento constitua um excelente momento para refletir na forma de acelerar a produção, e essencialmente, a translação do conhecimento que acrescente valor na saúde e na vida das pessoas”, afirmam os organizadores.
De acordo com o programa, os trabalhos começam no dia 14 de julho, às 9h30, com Carlos Sequeira e Olga Ribeiro (CINTESIS/ESEP) a apresentarem os projetos de investigação em curso no grupo NursID. Ao longo da manhã, estarão também em discussão as “Necessidades de investigação nos contextos clínicos”.
A sessão de abertura está marcada para as 11h30, estando previstas as presenças do coordenador do CINTESIS e diretor da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade do Porto (FMUP), Altamiro da Costa Pereira, do presidente da Escola Superior de Enfermagem do Porto, Luís Carvalho, da coordenadora do Doutoramento em Ciências de Enfermagem do ICBAS/Universidade do Porto, Maria João Oliveira, e do coordenador do grupo NursID do CINTESIS/ESEP, Carlos Sequeira.
“Investigação e desenvolvimento sustentável”, “Doutoramentos clínicos: um recurso para as instituições de saúde – realidade americana”, “articulação entre a formação e a investigação – que desafios” serão alguns dos temas em destaque neste dia.
Às 15h45, será feita a apresentação do livro “Investigação em Enfermagem: Teoria e Prática”, seguindo-se uma conferência sobre o Doutoramento em Enfermagem e uma homenagem a Corália Vicente, investigadora do CINTESIS/ICBAS falecida este ano.
No dia 15 de julho, a partir das 10h00, serão debatidas as “Necessidades e oportunidades de investigação nas empresas, com a participação de António Soares, gestor executivo do CINTESIS, entre outras individualidades, e moderação de Miguel Padilha (CINTESIS/ESEP).
Às 11h30, o debate será sobre “Desafios e oportunidades de investigação em Enfermagem nas instituições de ensino superior” e, às 14h30, falar-se-á sobre “Conhecimento, inovação, desafios éticos, internacionalização e multidisciplinaridade na investigação”, com intervenção de Carlos Sequeira, entre outros membros do CINTESIS/ESEP.
Haverá ainda lugar à apresentação de comunicações orais e pósteres nos dois dias do evento e à entrega de prémios, no dia 15 de julho, antes da sessão de encerramento, que irá decorrer pelas 17h30.

The International Nursing Research Congress (NURSID 22) will take place from July 14 to 15, at the Nursing School of Porto (ESEP), with the organization and participation of researchers from CINTESIS/ESEP.
The theme of this year’s edition is “The Future of Nursing Research“. For the organization, “it is urgent to (re)think what we research and why we research”, taking into account the aging population and the increase in chronic diseases, but also the new “challenges imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change and globalization.
In this sense, the Congress should be “a space to share knowledge, experiences and evidence resulting from research, as well as to promote reflection on challenges and new opportunities in the way research is conceived, planned and developed.”
“Investing in nursing research can help achieve sustainable development, and this event is expected to be an excellent moment to reflect on how to accelerate the production, and essentially, the translation of knowledge that adds value to health and people’s lives,” say the organizers.
According to the program, work will begin on July 14 at 9:30 a.m., with Carlos Sequeira and Olga Ribeiro (CINTESIS/ESEP) presenting the research projects underway in the NursID group. Throughout the morning, “Research needs in clinical contexts” will also be under discussion.
The opening session is scheduled for 11h30, and is expected to be attended by the coordinator of CINTESIS and director of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto (FMUP), Altamiro da Costa Pereira, the president of the Nursing School of Porto, Luís Carvalho, the coordinator of the PhD in Nursing Sciences of ICBAS/University of Porto, Maria João Oliveira, and the coordinator of the NursID group of CINTESIS/ESEP, Carlos Sequeira.
“Research and sustainable development”, “Clinical doctorates: a resource for health institutions – American reality”, “articulation between training and research – what challenges” will be some of the themes highlighted on this day.
At 15h45, the book “Research in Nursing: Theory and Practice” will be presented, followed by a conference on the PhD in Nursing and a tribute to Corália Vicente, a CINTESIS/ICBAS researcher who died this year.
On July 15, starting at 10h00, “Needs and opportunities for research in companies” will be debated, with the participation of António Soares, executive manager of CINTESIS, among other individuals, and moderated by Miguel Padilha (CINTESIS/ESEP).
At 11h30, the debate will be on “Challenges and opportunities of Nursing research in higher education institutions” and at 14h30, there will be a debate on “Knowledge, innovation, ethical challenges, internationalization and multidisciplinarity in research”, with the intervention of Carlos Sequeira, among other members of CINTESIS/ESEP.
There will also be presentations of oral and poster communications on the two days of the event and the award ceremony on July 15, before the closing session, which will take place at 17h30.
